We have lived in our Edwardian house in Weaverham for 7 years now and we believe it to be haunted AND we believe that there is a portal in the house allowing spirits to enter at will. Every now and then the house fills with an energy you can almost cut with a knife. Most of the activity is in the hall way and dining room, but both my husband and I have experienced (only when we are alone) someone pulling the duvet off the bed and knocking on the bedroom door. Sometimes there are loud crashes in the dining room late at night and strong smells of gas and sometimes the smell of an old lady, which comes and goes. We have never really been happy in this house and my husband's personality has changed quite remarkably - becoming very withdrawn and quiet. Our springer spaniels sometimes follow invisible (to our eyes anyway) things around the room with a puzzled expression on their faces! We live in a country lane and in the field opposite is a pylon.
The energy in the house is amazing and I have seen friends start to argue for no reason when the energy is at its strongest. I regularly cleanse the house, but really want to move!
