'THE MEADOW' -- A novel and how it came to be written

My main purpose for being here is to help promote a book that I have just finished co-authoring. It is said that everyone has a book in them. "The Meadow" started its long journey in my head many, many years ago as a simple idea. It wasn't until much later in life, when someone else realised its potential, that I finally got it into manuscript format. That 'someone else' became my writing partner and the background behind it all is a story in itself.
I am of the opinion that a good blog is one that captures the reader's attention immediately. Most good blogs are about sharing information of some kind such as advice, self-help guiding, tips, and recipes and so on. So does a damn good read fit into this category as well, even though there is no real practical help offered? I sincerely hope so, because this is the category into which I fall into.
What I propose here is to share with you a part of my life which has lead me to co-write a novel that took almost two and a half years to complete. The background behind this is most extraordinary and it is this that I hope will interest you.
ALL GREAT IDEAS BEGIN WITH A THOUGHT
Everything that we say and do in life is as the result of a thought. In fact, let me give you the order in which we express ourselves by way of our five physical senses. First of all there is a feeling; something that wells up in us from deep within our innermost being. We can't explain this because it is something that does not enter our conscious awareness. From this feeling there stirs a desire. Again, this is not a conscious thing so we have no idea yet what is going on inside of us.
Once the desire emotion has consumed us, it is this which leads to a thought. As I mentioned earlier, we can only express ourselves via our five physical senses. These are the sense of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. There is no other way in which we can express ourselves -- at least in the physical world.
A thought is that which manifests into word or deed. It can be anything at all. Your speech and language comes from the thought. Everything that you do and create is as a result of a thought. Take a look around you. Once you have separated nature, everything else is the result of a thought first. The chair you are sitting on was a thought before it was created. There are no exceptions, including the greatest and largest of creations by mankind like the Great Wall of China for example.
WE ARE INFLUENCED BY THE THOUGHTS OF OTHERS
It is a sad fact of life that thoughts are imposed upon us by others us from the day we are born. We are conditioned into thinking certain ways, and each and every one of us is guilty of this. Where and how we live is due to the conditioning that has consumed us over our lives. First of all, we are heavily influenced by our parents in how they interact with us. This is the foundation for all events that follow. Once we reach kindergarten and on to education, we are well and truly inducted into thinking the way that society intended. Not only are we indoctrinated by our teachers and the system that governs them, but also by our peers. By the time we reach our teen and twenty years, the social element of our lives is that which fits the lid.
It will take a mammoth leap in faith to undo all of this conditioning. Even though we feel that matters are not right with ourselves and the world around us, there is still that intellectual part of us, our ego, that will ensure that we don't get past the conscious state of 'reasoning'.
The reason why I am explaining of all this is to gradually lead you into the story of how I came to co-write "The Meadow". It is a beautiful novel which is designed to convey a very profound message and also to help plant a seed that will help change your way of thinking towards curiosity and away from doubt and scepticism which, let's face it, is the result of your conditioning. So here is something to wet your appetite.
"THE MEADOW"

The above painting was commissioned to celebrate the finishing of "The Meadow". It is a spiritual epic love story that literally spans thousands of years. Here is a brief description of the plot and background to it all.
Overview of "The Meadow": Professor Steve Ballantire's ordered life unravels when MI6 springs Hugo, the brilliant child of a missing English diplomat, from Tel Aviv to North East England. The boy becomes his protégé, but the mother who is the wife to the diplomat, becomes his dilemma when he cannot deny his attraction to her or the inexplicable feeling that they know each other. Tensions rise dramatically when a nemesis, somehow connected with their history and in pursuit of more than just the gifted child, leaves a trail of dead bodies behind while tracking Eva and Hugo to England.
The first book in a set of two, "The Meadow" is an epic love story involving four recorded past lives where the lovers fail to bond, leaving them with only one option, to re-unite in the Meadow, a celestial waterhole that exists between lives. Across centuries and continents, from ancient Mexica to contemporary Pakistan, the story involves international espionage and intrigue.
The devious abduction of Eva to the Himalaya Mountains drives past and present into a vortex of retribution, forcing Steve to confront the nemesis who had torn them apart for lifetimes. Will he succeed in bringing to an end their previous failures to unite?
The origins of this story began with a simple idea, hence the reason for my introducing this concept to you earlier. This idea was carried by a thought which, in turn, was created through a desire. But where and how did the feeling begin to manifest? I've often asked myself this question ever since it was planted more than 40 years ago. It started off with my visualising a person who was born into the world with a mission to accomplish but could not be achieved through one lifetime. Then the idea began to gain momentum and soon there were two people until a full blown storyline had evolved.
I have explained how all this developed from a simple idea and then this lead me to meet my co-writer, who actually pleaded with me to get this idea into manuscript format, in an e-book which will be available soon. Right now, it's important that I attempt to gain contact from interested parties who can send their email expressing to learn more about "The Meadow" and how they can obtain the publication.
The e-book will explain in detail how natural laws dictated how I reached my present situation. This description of my 'travels' is encapsulated in an article titled "The long and mystical journey of the soul." We all have our journey so wouldn't it be wonderful if we could try and understand how we evolve throughout life?

Wow, Mike. What a fantastic story and idea-birthed-into-being... They do say when you have an Idea (thought) and add an 'L' for love, it becomes an Ideal. And one ideal way to share our thought manifestations is the way you have done. Thank you so much for this work of your heart and soul - wishing it into fantastic success, right now!

Love and light, Jay xoxoxox
